Saturday Jun 11, 2022
"Don't shoot the piano player" in Leadville Colorado, Oliver Wilde, the highest city in America & a local legend musician Ryan Ruegg! How does music effect society? It's a very curious operation.. Music is science. Music is mathematical. Music is history. Music is a foreign language. Music is Physical Education. Music develops insight & demands research. Music is all of these things, but most of all music is life.

Grandpa’s Travelogue #35 Tom Zocolo
Friday Jun 03, 2022
Friday Jun 03, 2022
Water conservation, currency, crypto, WWII, historical timelines, Tom Zocolo is along for the ride of point & click conversation which is the hallmark of the travelogue experience! We're both musicians at heart so it's fun to relate musical structures to generalize the manifold world at large & even at a metaphysical level this podcast slaps.. It's a journey of hypotheses to which we speak truth to fiction.. which is an easier box to point fingers at right? if we can compartmentalize or create a fictional narrative for a space.. a Space we can make analogous examples in that function amazing in those thought experiments. Truly it's no difference then how we construct our society writ large. Cheers!

Grandpa’s Travelogue#32 Sarah Steel (Hypnotism)
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Tuesday May 03, 2022
Hypnotism is a topic that grabs the subconscious mind & asks kindly to see the "self" behind the curtain, so to speak. Sarah Steel has provided context in ways which I'd never heard of before. Confrontation with one's self can be the most productive moments in one's life. To streamline & rid one's self of confusion can allow a person to accomplish more in one year then all previous lifetimes combined. Depending on what exactly you think needs to be "accomplished".. It's important to remember than social constructs can do damage, parents can do damage, you're reaction to unsurmountable odds can cause trauma, relationships can cause stress, work that is meaningless & underpaid can project a feeling of self worthlessness. It is very important to take a strict catalogue of self reflection in addition to therapy & hypnotism.

Grandpa’s Travelogue #31 Ryan Gillespie
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
E Bikes. If you ever rode an electric bicycle you know you'll smile a big grin at least once. I visited Ryan Gillespie in Winston Salem North Carolina the other day to discuss the many variations of transportation & ramifications for society that e bikes will provide. It's a really interesting talk. Behind us in the shot are a bunch of Organic Transit electric bikes in different states of disrepair. As you'll find out on this podcast e bikes are slowly gaining traction as we figure out the best designs & as new tech develops to regulate batteries. The field could change rapidly if a new light weight battery develops in the near future! But it the meantime, they're still a blast to ride! and a real solution for transportation!
